1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bookends Marketplace, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, maintain account security, and are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Marketplace Use

Bookends is a marketplace for buying, selling, and exchanging creative materials and related items. Sellers are responsible for listing accuracy, condition disclosures, pricing, and fulfillment. Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing details before purchase.

4. Payments, Fees, and Taxes

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Marketplace fees, payment processing fees, refunds, and chargeback handling may apply. You are responsible for applicable taxes associated with your transactions.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the platform lawfully and respectfully. You must not post or share illegal, offensive, abusive, or infringing content, attempt fraud, manipulate transactions, or misuse marketplace services.

6. Prohibited Content and Enforcement

Bookends maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content, including hate speech, harassment, threats, abuse, explicit or obscene content, and content that promotes violence, illegal activities, or discrimination. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

7. Shipping, Returns, and Disputes

Sellers are responsible for shipment and delivery commitments in their listings. Buyers and sellers are expected to work in good faith to resolve order issues. Bookends may provide dispute support but is not a party to individual sales contracts between users.

8. Intellectual Property and User Content

You retain ownership of content you post but grant Bookends a limited license to host, display, and process that content to operate the marketplace. You represent that your content does not violate third-party rights.

9. Privacy and Data Use

Bookends collects and uses data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to data practices described there.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Bookends provides the platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis and is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or legality of user-generated content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookends is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits.

11. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, security risks, or behavior harmful to the community.
